Retail
Our customers in the retail segment vary from department stores, shopping centers to retail chains. They may be multi-storey department stores with different needs under one roof, a shopping mall containing numerous small and large stores and restaurants, or a clothing chain, restaurant chain or after-hours supermarket.
ONOFF is one of Sweden’s largest retailers in consumer electronics. In total, there are 70 ONOFF stores all over the country – stretching from Luleå in the north to Trelleborg in the south. Customers are offered to have their purchases delivered to their home and installed by a professional. The vans used for this purpose transport expensive TV sets and computers and could be an attractive target for criminals. Because of this potential threat, the transports are monitored by Securitas via a GPS system.
Farsta Centrum, one of the most modern shopping centers south of Stockholm's inner city, has 150 shops and sees 15 million shoppers each year. This enormous flow of visitors creates great demands on security as well as the level of service. Together with Atrium Ljungberg, who owns the properties in Farsta Centrum, Securitas created a concept that suits both the property owners, the tenants and the shops' customers.
In the El Corte Inglés department store in Pozuelo, a small town northwest of Madrid that is popular among celebrities and well-to-do families, everything must be just so, including security. The 75 Securitas officers who work there in the shopping center must make sure that the whole security concept meets the customer's expectations.

At Carrefour in Rambouillet, a few miles from Paris, just like in any supermarket around the world, merchandise worth significant sums is stolen every day. Security personnel has since long been mandatory, but Carrefour’s management wanted to raise the level of ambition and signed a contract with Securitas, which offers security officers specialized in the retail sector.
At the IKEA store in Plaisir, near Paris, the basic mission for security provider Securitas is the same as it would be at any other retail outlet: ensure the security of employees and customers and to reduce the risk of fire and theft. But the hands-on nature of the shopping experience at IKEA creates additional complications.
