The Municipality worries about the security of its employees and citizens. “Without security there is no freedom, without freedom there is no citizenship and without the latter there is no democratic rule of law. In a Municipality where more than 480 thousand inhabitants reside permanently and which welcomes more than 3 million tourists per year, security takes on significant relevance in the area’s economic and social development,” said Nuno Fonte.
