Strategy

In 2007 Securitas began the implementation of a new business strategy for the future. Step by step our customers will see a more specialized organization, in which we will develop our knowledge and expertise according to the needs of each customer segment. The new strategy contains three key elements.

Specialization and customized solutions

The strategy for improved profitability is to put the customer in focus and make sure that we make a difference by adding more value for our customers. We will do this by: 

  • Providing more customized solutions, which can include more technology, combined contracts and the ability to deliver high quality services to our customers on a global basis
  • Moving gradually from a geographic market driven organization to a more customer segment focused organization

Expansion of Mobile and Monitoring

In 2007, major investments were initiated in sales resources and opening up new routes, in order to accelerate organic growth within Mobile and Monitoring. The sales force was increased by around 40 people in 2007 and the plan is for continued growth in 2008.

Increased global presence

During 2007 Securitas acquired businesses in these countries:

  • Latin America: Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and Peru
  • Asia: partnering with security services company Walsons in India
  • Europe: Turkey, The Netherlands and Romania

In addition to the acquisitions, resources have been allocated to start operations in China, the Middle East and in most countries in Eastern Europe.
